BASICS.fst® is TrainCan's Canadian employee-level food handler certification program. It is designed to provide food handlers with the knowledge and skills needed to work safely in food service and retail environments.
The program meets the recommended requirements of Canadian provinces and territories and aligns with the Canadian Food Retail and Foodservices Code and Regulations.
BASICS.fst® is fully online and self-paced. Work through each module at your convenience. Each module must be completed before taking its module test, and you can make unlimited attempts. A 100% score is required on each module test to proceed.
Once you have completed the course, you can take your certification exam immediately or schedule it for a later time that works for you.
The certification exam is completed online with a working webcam and valid photo ID. A minimum grade of 74% is required to successfully pass the exam and receive your certification.
